Appliance delivery and haul-away

BoxHauls · Reviewed by John Marcus IV

BoxHauls delivers appliances in Fresno and Clovis: refrigerators, freezers, washers and dryers, moved upright and strapped in a pickup. The price is $17.00 plus $3.10 a mile plus the $29 heavy-item fee, which comes to $77.00 for a 10-mile trip. Old appliances can be hauled away for recycling.

Two people, standard

Full-size appliances weigh 150–350 lb, so they’re two-person jobs. Request a helper for $17. Helpers come with the driver and aren’t guaranteed, so if no driver with a helper accepts, have a second person ready to help load and unload.

Stairs and doorways

There’s no stairs fee, but appliances on stairs always take two people. Removing refrigerator doors can buy 2–4 inches in a tight doorway.
