Washer and dryer delivery
Part of Appliance delivery and haul-away
BoxHauls · Reviewed by John Marcus IV
Washer and dryer delivery with BoxHauls moves both machines on one trip, for $61.50 for 5 miles in Fresno with the heavy-item fee applied once. [TODO: whether the heavy-item fee applies to each machine or once per trip] It’s part of appliance delivery and haul-away.
Shipping bolts
Front-load washers need their shipping bolts installed before a move. The bolts lock the drum so it can’t swing and damage the suspension. Check your manual for where they go.
Stacking kits
Stacked pairs ride unstacked, side by side. Keep the stacking kit’s hardware in a bag taped to the dryer.
Dryer vents
Disconnect the vent duct and leave it behind if it’s crushed or lint-clogged. A new 4-inch foil or semi-rigid duct is cheap and safer. Gas dryers must be disconnected and capped by a licensed professional before the driver arrives.
Two people
Each machine is 150–250 lb. Request a helper for $17, and have a second person ready in case none is available.
Price example
| Distance | Both machines | With a helper |
|---|---|---|
| 5 miles | $61.50 | $78.50 |
| 15 miles | $92.50 | $109.50 |
