Do you charge by the hour?
No. BoxHauls prices by the trip, not the hour, so a slow load or traffic doesn't change what you pay. You see the price before you book.
Is there surge pricing?
No. The formula is the same at every time of day. There's also no minimum fare, no stairs fee and no wait-time fee.
Which items count as heavy?
The $29 heavy-item fee applies to refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, gun safes, sectionals and sleeper sofas. Everything else is just the base fare plus mileage.
Does the job type change the price?
No. Movin' Boxes, Dump Run and Large Item Pick-up all use the same formula. The job type tells the driver what to expect.
How do dump runs get priced?
A dump run is the trip price plus the dump or transfer-station fee, passed through at cost. BoxHauls doesn't mark up the dump fee.
How far will a driver go?
BoxHauls serves Fresno and Clovis within 25 miles. The 25-mile price in the table is the longest trip in the service area.
