Every BoxHauls fee, explained
BoxHauls has five possible line items. Every trip has the first two, and the other three apply only when they’re triggered. Nothing else is added.

What’s never charged
- No hourly rate. You pay by the trip.

Dump fees
On a dump run, the driver pays the gate fee at the landfill or transfer station, and that fee is passed through to you at cost. [TODO: how the dump fee is shown and charged: on the receipt after the trip, or estimated before booking]

Questions
What is the heavy-item fee?
It's $29, and it applies to refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, gun safes, sectionals and sleeper sofas. These items take more effort and equipment to load safely. [TODO: confirm whether the fee is per item or per trip]
How much does a helper cost?
A helper adds $17 to the trip. Helpers come with the driver, so one is only available when a driver bringing a second person accepts your job. BoxHauls doesn't guarantee a helper.
Is there a fee for stairs?
No. BoxHauls doesn't charge for stairs. If an item is heavy or awkward on stairs, request a helper or have someone ready to help.
Do I have to tip?
No. Tips are optional and go to your driver.
