What happens if something is damaged
If something is damaged on a BoxHauls haul, photograph it before the driver leaves and report it to BoxHauls. Covered damage is handled under the Hiscox Inc. policy, which has limits of $10,000 cargo / $1M liability. The steps are below.
Photo checklist
- The damage, close up
- The whole item, so the damage is in context
- Any packaging or wrapping
- Where it happened: the doorway, stairs or truck bed
- Your receipt or order, for new items
